Are Catholics "Born Again?"

Are Catholics Born Again?  If you have been baptized you Are “Born Again!”

Does that mean you are “saved?”

Of course Not!  Even if you have been baptized,  that does not mean you are automatically “saved.”  Why?  Because being “born again’ isn’t a one-and-done thing.  It’s a lifelong commitment to living the Gospel and sharing the Gospel.  Without going to Confession, without going to Mass, without living the  best life you can as a Catholic Christian, you’re not guaranteed eternal life in Heaven, automatically. Are All Religions the Same?

No!  All Religions are NOT the Same. Even though you may have heard people say that.  If they were there would only be one Religion!

Jesus told Peter: “You are Peter! And Upon This Rock I Will Build My Church!”  (Mt. 16:18).

Why would Jesus want one Church?  Can you imagine how much more difficult it would have been for the first Apostles if there had been dozens or  hundreds of separate churches–all teaching and believing different things?  We can look around the world and see hundreds of thousands of “Christian” churches, all teaching and believing different things…

Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament

Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament, The Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ is a means of praying to Jesus, praying with Jesus, being with Jesus, adoring and glorifying and praising Our Lord Jesus Christ!  Because Jesus is truly Present in the form of the Sacred Host, commonly known as “Communion” in the Catholic Tradition, Catholics are able to see Jesus’ reserved in the Monstrance under the appearance of the bread, consecrated at Mass, which is transformed through the power of God into the Body of Christ.  So, Adoring Our Lord in the Tabernacle is a way of being with and praying with Jesus.

Daily Mass Online From EWTN

“Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.  I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” (Jn:6, 49-51)                                                 It is a blessing  to be able to attend Mass on Sundays and, unless prevented by age or infirmity, it is obligatory for Catholics to do so.  If you are unable to attend Mass you can watch Mass online:

Truth

The Catechism of the Catholic Church # 1776 explains, “Deep within his conscience man discovers a law which he has not laid upon himself, but which he must obey. Its voice, ever calling him to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil, sounds in his heart at the right moment … For man has in his heart a law inscribed by God … His conscience is man’s most secret core and his sanctuary. There he is alone with God whose voice echoes in his depths.”

“…In today’s classroom, students often come to us with their own understanding of “truth.” The definition of the word “truth” is the conforming of one’s mind to reality as it is. Truth resides outside of us, not in our own ideas and concepts. This can often cause confusion as to what is subjective truth vs. objective truth. Subjective truth is based on the personal perspective, experience, or preferences of a person.  One student may state, “Math is hard, and it is the worst subject”. They are speaking based on their feelings. These feelings and what is viewed as “their truth” are based on who is speaking. Another student may love math and regard it as their best subject. They are both accurate as they speak on their feelings about math, but that does not apply to the nature of math itself. There is no contradiction about these two students having different opinions about the same thing (math).”

Beauty

“The beauty of the universe: The order and harmony of the created world results from the diversity of beings and from the relationships which exist among them. Man discovers them progressively as the laws of nature….”

[From the Catechism of The Catholic Church  – Section 341]

Goodness

The CCC states that the truth, goodness and beauty of all things reflect the infinite perfection of God.

The Catholic Church teaches that goodness is the full realization of a being’s potential or the achievement of perfection. It is the idea that to be good is to be all that one can be. [ CCC 41 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. ]
